How it works

Know where your voice is going

A status row on the main screen shows the name of the connected Bluetooth speaker, so you never talk into the wrong device.

1. Pair

Pair your Bluetooth speaker in Android settings. No speaker yet? The app tells you and opens Bluetooth settings in one tap.

2. Check the status row

It shows the speaker's name once it is connected. Automatic sends your voice there with no menus.

3. Talk

Turn the speaker volume down, tap the mic and raise the gain slowly.

Built around Bluetooth

Speaker status

See the connected speaker's name at a glance. If it drops out, the app falls back to Automatic.

Made for the delay

Bluetooth adds a short lag, often 0.1 to 0.3 seconds. Keep the speaker a few metres in front of you and it won't throw you off.

Feedback guard

Listens for the squeal when the mic gets close to the speaker, cuts that tone and lowers the gain by 3 dB.

Even out volume

An optional setting that keeps loud bursts from overloading a small speaker.

Tap or hold

Tap the big mic button to go live, or hold-to-talk for short messages. Gain from -6 to +24 dB with level meters.

Any output

Phone speaker or wired headphones work too. A Quick Settings tile starts the mic, and it turns itself off when a phone call needs it.

Safety. Turn the speaker volume down before you start and raise it slowly. Keep the phone away from the speaker to avoid feedback. Loud sound close to your ears can damage hearing. Bluetooth Mic to Speaker plays out loud what the microphone hears: only use it where people know you are speaking, never to listen in on others. It is not a hearing aid or medical device.
